How a service call works

Call or text and we quote on the spot. The tech rolls in a marked vehicle with the parts and tools for the common scenarios. On arrival we confirm the price, do the work, and email a receipt with the itemized breakdown. Standard residential and auto jobs usually finish in 20 to 45 minutes on site.

Common questions

Can you cut and program a transponder key on-site?

Yes for most makes and model years. Standard transponder key cut and programmed runs $150 to $400 on-site. Push-button smart keys for newer luxury vehicles (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Land Rover) can trend higher because of immobilizer-pairing complexity. We confirm on dispatch by VIN.

What if I lost ALL my keys?

All-keys-lost is a different job from a duplicate cut, we have to read the immobilizer code from the vehicle (sometimes from the ignition cylinder, sometimes via OBD). Expect $200 to $500 for most domestic and Japanese vehicles. European brands trend higher. We bring the right tooling for the year/make on dispatch.

Do you do car lockouts?

Yes, long-reach tools and air wedges work on almost every modern vehicle without damage to weatherstripping or paint. Standard car lockout runs $75 to $200 depending on hour and access. We do not pop locks via Slim Jim on newer vehicles (risks airbag-control wiring).

Will programming a new key delete my existing keys?

Depends on the immobilizer. Some manufacturers wipe and re-pair the full key list when a new key is added (common on Ford, GM); others append (most Asian brands). If you want existing keys preserved, bring them along, we’ll re-pair the full set during the same visit.

Can you help with ignition lock cylinder issues?

Yes, worn ignition cylinders cause key-stuck and key-won’t-turn problems on older vehicles. Replacement runs $200 to $500 with a new programmed key. We can also re-key the new cylinder to match your existing door key if you want one-key-fits-all.
